Birthday Buddies Bags
Pick up bags from N2N, decorate them, and fill them with cake mix, frosting, candles, sprinkles, baking tin, birthday card. Optional: party hats, noise makers, party favors. Return filled bags to N2N.

Food Drive
There is an urgent need for cereal, canned fruit, pasta, peanut butter, and jelly. (Normal sized jars, please.)

Linens and Clothing Drives
There is always a need for sheets and towels and clothing of all sizes.

These venues are looking for volunteers ...
Things your troop can do ...
Bake cookies or brownies as appreciation gifts to the fire and police departments in town.

Make chocolate covered pretzels rods as party favors for Meals on Wheels.

Sing at a senior citizen's residence.

Collect magazines for the patients at the Veteran's Hospital in West Haven.

Do arts and crafts with senior citizens.

Collect animal food, snacks, and blankets for the local pet shelter.

Serve food at New Covenant House.

Cook dinner and/or bake a dessert for the Pacific Street Men's Homeless Shelter in Stamford.

Make greeting cards to accompany the cookies that will be sent to our military overseas (send cards to our Council office and they will accompany the Gifts of Caring cookies that go to our military).

Knit or crochet hats for preemie babies.

Create and donate a blanket to Project Linus, a charity that distributes them to sick children.

Send us your ideas and successful activities.

Halloween costume collection -- Don't throw them away. Don't store them in the back of your closet till the kids have gone to college. Donate them! Cadette troops 50387 and 50737 are accepting donations now.
